Dr. Jane Karges is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience. Jane earned her Doctor of Psychology degree at the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at The Fifth Avenue Center for Psychotherapy in New York City.

In private practice both in California and Nebraska for most of her career, Jane was most recently on staff at NE Cancer Specialists, helping patients navigate the emotional journey through a cancer diagnosis, treatment, and post-treatment. Jane uses a trauma-informed and mindfulness-based approach to help adult patients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, isolation, and relationship issues. Beginning therapy is an important step in healing from past wounds, and learning how to manage self and emotions in the here and now. Jane believes that a warm, genuine, and non-judgmental relationship with a therapist can help facilitate growth in many areas, including feeling validated, learning ways to cope with stress in one’s life and in the world, and feeling heard and understood. Psychotherapy is the safe space to explore who you are and who you would like to become to begin experiencing a more resilient and peaceful life.

A pianist and violinist, Jane enjoys all kinds of music, spending time with her husband and family, and playing with her mischievous dog, Sammy.
